Helpful, and honest about its limits
Ingrid helps with supplement ingredients, and she is careful about it. This page gathers, in one place, what that care means: what is checked, what is still a draft, and why a professional is always the right final step before you take anything.
Ingredlabs is not a medical service
Ingredlabs is an informational tool, not a medical service, and nothing on this site is medical advice. Ingrid helps you think about supplement ingredients, forms and doses, and she is not a substitute for a doctor or pharmacist. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about supplements, especially if you take medications or have an existing health condition.
Talk to a professional before you take anything
A plan from Ingrid is a starting point for a conversation with someone who knows your full history, not a prescription. Before you start any supplement, confirm it with a pharmacist or your doctor. This matters most when you already take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a chronic condition, or are planning a procedure.
What is checked, and what is still a draft
Ingrid does not improvise. Her ingredient entries are built from published sources read in full and approved by a human reviewer, and interactions carry reviewed pair checks. Some entries are still AI drafts that a human has not reviewed yet; where that is the case, the answer is marked as a draft, and the honest instruction is the same: confirm with a pharmacist before taking it.
How interactions are checked
When you tell Ingrid which medications and supplements you already take, she checks suggested ingredients against them for known interactions, using reviewed interaction data rather than a guess. This check is only as complete as what you share and what the published evidence covers, so it reduces risk, it does not remove it. A pharmacist who can see your full medication list is still the right final check.
Honest about limits
When the evidence for an ingredient is limited, Ingrid says so, and the absence of a known warning is never treated as proof that something is safe. Supplements can still cause side effects, interact with drugs, or be wrong for your particular situation. If you feel unwell after taking something, stop and speak to a healthcare professional.
In an emergency
Ingrid cannot help in a medical emergency. If you have severe symptoms, a serious allergic reaction, or thoughts of harming yourself, do not use this site: contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away.
Not medical advice. Always consult your healthcare provider. Confirm with a pharmacist before taking it.
